Let's Prove That $$$ Doesn't Buy The Governor's Mansion
Congresswoman Mary Fallin reported that she raised $742,974 in the last three months to bring her total campaign donations to over $2.4 million. She spent $747,500 to bring her total expenditures to well over $1.6 million.
In contrast, Senator Randy Brogdon has raised a total of $381,750 and spent $311,877 during his entire campaign. However, if the county GOP assemblies mean anything, Brogdon has the support of the People.
The people most likely to vote in a primary can be pared down to two major groups: those who are active in their party, and those who seek to change their party. Apparently, Randy Brogdon has been able to draw from both of these major groups.
If you are still on the fence between the two Republican candidates for Governor of the State of Oklahoma, I urge you to at least take a look at what distinguishes the two. Randy Brogdon is exactly the candidate that the GOP establishment does not want, and that is a good thing. While the GOP claims to be Conservative, in reality it has proven itself to be inline or left of many Democrats.
Do Randy Brogdon's views align perfectly with mine? No. But I would much rather have a Governor whom I agree with 85% of the time than one I disagree with 85% of the time. I would much rather know what I am getting with my vote than regret it later.
At least from my point of view, Randy Brogdon as Governor is the best damn thing that could happen for the State of Oklahoma.
