My Vote for Governor: Randy Brogdon

By Brian Altenhofel - Posted on 01 July 2010

After having met both Randy Brogdon and Mary Fallin and observing their positions on various issues, I give my support for Randy Brogdon in the race to be the next Governor of the State of Oklahoma.

While neither candidate's views align perfectly with mine, Randy Brogdon's is much closer.  He has also voted as a Senator the way he said he would (which is most often in support of the People), while Fallin seems to have only kept her interests in mind as a Congresswoman.

And finally, huge bonus points for Randy Brogdon for me is that he supports ballot access reform which would allow voters to actually have choices in elections.  Other factors that fall in his favor is that he has no problem going against the Republican establishment.

Remember, the primaries are July 27th.  If you are registered as a Republican, Randy Brogdon seems to be the better option.

By the way, the last day to register to vote in the primaries is tomorrow, July 2nd.  You must be registered as a Republican to vote for Randy Brogdon in the primary.  (Just because you are registered with a party doesn't mean that you support that party's platform.)

(Full disclosure:  While I am registered on their site as a volunteer in order to receive email updates, I am not directly involved in Randy Brogdon's campaign.)
